Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, is now facing allegations of misconduct of her own. Fanni is leading the Georgia election indictment alleging former Presisent Trump and 18 associates schemed to illegally overturn his 2020 election loss and stop the peaceful transition of power. One of the attorney’s for a co-defendant in the indictment case alleges that Willis assigned special prosecutor Nathan Wade as the result of a personal relationship.
Fanny Willis is accused of selecting attorney Nathan Wade as one of three special prosecutors in the indictment case, for her own financial gain by Ashleigh Merchant, who filed the 127-page motion.
Nathan Wade, who is currently going through divorce proceedings had receipts revealed during his divorce hearings that indicate that he has spent the income he earned from his role in this case on several trips and cruises for himself and Fanni Willis.
The District Attorney spoke out during a live streamed church event in Atlanta this Sunday where many speculate that she seemed to acknowledge the misconduct accusations by describing herself as “flawed” and “imperfect.”
While she has not acknowledged dating the special prosecutor, she has claimed that she believes these allegations are racially motivated since Nathan Wade is the only Black special prosecutor on the case.
