A brand new entertainment center recently debuted in the Garden State.<\/p>\n

Cape Square Entertainment<\/a> opened its doors in Rio Grande in Cape May County on July 15<\/a>. The entertainment complex is located at 3801 Route 9 in the space of a former Kmart.<\/p>\n

Cape Square Entertainment Center<\/a> features 16-lane bowling alley Cape Square Bowl, a 3,000 square-foot arcade and a golf simulator. It also has Cape Square Theater, which includes eight theaters with luxury seats.<\/p>\n

The dining area also includes an outdoor beer garden.<\/p>\n

Town Square Entertainment \u2014 which owns Cape Square \u2014 also operates Harbor Square Theatre<\/a> in Stone Harbor, Tilton Square Theatre<\/a> in Northfield and Ventnor Square Theatre<\/a> in Ventnor.<\/p>\n

The company purchased the Moorlyn Theatre in Ocean City last year and plans to renovate and reopen the theater soon.<\/p>\n

This continues a trend of former Kmart buildings transitioning into new businesses in the Garden State.<\/p>\n

An old Kmart building was converted into an entertainment center in Berlin earlier this year.<\/p>\n

Target stores in Wall Township, Somers Point and Kearny<\/a> have all replaced shuttered Kmarts. Another Target store is now planned to replace a former Kmart in Jersey City.<\/p>\n

Marshalls<\/a> and HomeGoods<\/a> are expected to replace a former Kmart in Parsippany.<\/p>\n
