Woman arrested for trying to run over her boyfriend with her 6 kids in the car

On the morning of December 22, an Indianapolis woman named Donesha Stewart was arrested for allegedly attempting to run over her boyfriend while six children were in her car. The incident unfolded after IMPD officers responded to a domestic disturbance report at a west Indianapolis residence around 10:30 a.m.

According to court documents, Donesha had been threatening her boyfriend, accusing him of infidelity. The man had initially left the house with Stewart and the six children after facing threats. Upon his return, he discovered Stewart damaging his car windows with an unidentified object.

Donesha loaded the six children into the car, presumably to leave, but instead, she allegedly drove over the curb and onto the sidewalk in an attempt to run over her boyfriend. Fortunately, he managed to evade the vehicle by hiding behind a tree.

Upon the officers’ arrival, they observed the six children in the vehicle and identified fresh tire marks on the curb and grass. When questioned, Donesha denied attempting to hit her boyfriend with the car. Officers then asked the six children if their Mom tried to hit her boyfriend with the car and they refused to answer.

Donesha Stewart now faces formal charges of two counts of criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon and criminal mischief, as per online court records.
