Bisan, the woman who livestreams daily wearing a press shield and helmet as she and her family are shuffled around Gaza under constant threat of bombing, announced today that she is calling for a global 7 day strike to bring attention to the need for a cease-fire in Gaza.
During today’s live stream directly from Gaza, bombs could be heard in the background as Bisan asked for global support for Palestine and the thousands of displaced citizens. Bisan asked for a strike between January 21-28. A follow-up message posted to her social media reads:
Strike from the economic movements, work and vour normal life because nothing is normal in this life! Strike as much as you can and protest.. for a whole week or until this madness ends! You can disrupt the economies that support genocide and make your voices and our voices heard! Call for strikes during the next week for an immediate and permanent ceasefire!
Bisan posted this video from inside Gaza showing how the electricity is turned off in Gaza and the night sky is lit by Israel’s targets.
