After Amazon and Walmart announced holiday sales coming up in just a few weeks, Target has also officially joined the October holiday sales rush.
Target Circle Week, the second of the year, will be held from October 1-7 – starting earlier than either Walmart or Amazon, and lasting longer than either of the other sales.
“This is a time that the Target team shines, and we’re ready to deliver affordability, inspiration, and convenience to help our guests celebrate holiday traditions with loved ones,” said Christina Hennington, Target’s chief growth officer. “We’ll have great deals every day, on top of our everyday low prices.
“And between our only-at-Target exclusives, a robust assortment of owned and national brands, new partnerships, and industry-leading fulfillment services, Target is making it easier than ever for our guests to embrace the joy of the season.”
Deal of the Day is back
As part of the upcoming Target Circle Week, shoppers will be able to find deals on just about everything.
Target is touting thousands of offerings under $25, as well as over 10,000 new and exclusive items available just in time for the holidays. Circle rewards members can expect up to 40% off on everything from holiday essentials, groceries, household items, and more.
Some of the early deals include: $1 stocking stuffers, $5 beauty, apparel, and accessories items, and $2 seasonal food and drinks.
Starting on October 1, which is also the first day of Circle Week, Target will bring back Deal of the Day. Every day through December 24, one item from a big-name brand will be exclusively discounted for Target shoppers. Brands like Dyson, Nespresso, Apple, and Nintendo – among several others – will be included in these daily offers.
More holiday help
To keep up with the demand of the busy holiday rush, Target will hire 100,000 seasonal employees. The company says that will help ensure that orders are sorted and shipped as quickly and efficiently as possible, and customers are getting help in-store when needed.
Additionally, existing employees will be given the opportunity to add hours to their shifts when and if they want. Plus, Target employs nearly 45,000 people on a shift-by-shift basis – these employees can pop in and out of shifts when it fits into their schedules and when local stores are understaffed.
